I've always been interested in space exploration and the idea that life can exist beyond Earth. I'm constantly looking up new information on space exploration, theories and watching anything and everything related to exploring beyond our planet. I also love a good conspiracy theory. Combine them both and you've got me hooked. Today's writing prompt asked the following:
Research is often a crucial part of writing. Look up something you are curious about, or use Wikipedia's "random article" button until you come across something of interest. Write a brief summary of what you've discovered.
What if Mars has water on it because we used to live there and we messed up the climate so bad that we had to send an escape pod to Earth with only Adam and Eve on it. That escape pod was the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs. If this theory is to be believed, why don't we remember being on the red planet? Why is there no evidence of us ever being there? Who covered it up and why?
So many great stories could come of this. It's an interesting conspiracy theory. What if it were true? How advanced were we that we had escape pods? How did we ruin the planet? What went wrong and why was it covered up?
