All it Takes is One

I hope you meet someone like her
Full of enough scars and magic to make you want to chase her
Dream with her
Taste life again with her
To feel your heart flutter in your chest and experience every
color all at once
A runaway rollercoaster
A poisonous elixir
A love wild and untamed much like her spirit
You’ll never master the great of art catching her
Her flame burns too bright
Savor in her taste while you have it
Revel and learn from her spirit
Drink in this little moment of madness together
Beautiful
Strange
But somehow perfect
Chances are you’ll never experience this again
You’ll hold on to this memory
Someday years from now you’ll understand everything she taught
you in that moment
Sometimes all it takes is one person to change your life
Growth
Those happy moments don’t matter anymore
The times you made me smile, laugh, gave me butterflies
Outweighed by the painful moments
The anxiety
The loneliness
Hurt
It’s all I associate with you now
I can no longer fall victim to your charm
My heart doesn’t skip a beat from a text
My eyes roll in annoyance
Delete.
Growth.
Alone & Afraid
Loneliness is a dark, dank cave
There you’ll find me
Trapped within its tunnels
Struggling to breath
Panic sinking in
Poison
Darling, you’re playing a dangerous game
Tugging on these old, dead heart strings
Don’t get too close
They’re woven in poison
A Worth While Curse
Love in of itself is a curse
It shapes you
Molds you
Breaks you
If you have too little it makes you cold
Take too much and it will consume you
If you aren’t careful it will burn you
Leaving nothing but tear soaked ash remains
Meant to Break
We built our foundation on shaky ground
Full of cracks
Roots that unearthed and damaged everything in their wake
No matter how hard we tried to fill the holes
Replace the dead grass
Lay new seeds
In the end it always withered
We were always meant to break
