365 Q&A #57: Pareidolia

This one's from the 18th of September.

Look around you to find a visual pattern - in bricks, in a bedspread, in flowers - and write a short piece based on the design.

I've always been one to see facial patterns on walls or other forms of physical artwork. The term for this is Pareidolia, the phenomenon of seeing faces in inanimate shapes and objects. Today I saw a face in the wood of my bookshelf. The face was of a young teenager, wearing a hooded sweatshirt.

This young woman walks with her head down as she does not want to be seen. But she needs to be seen and by seen I mean truly seen for the wonderful creature she is. Under that hooded sweatshirt lies a fun and outgoing young woman who loves karaoke and comes out of her shell when performing in front of her bedroom mirror. She is a young woman full of life, love and an energy that radiates and wraps those around her in warmth and acceptance.

If only she could find that within herself.
