365 Q&A #45: So Hollow

Time to catch up on all my blogging. Get ready for an overload of posts as I now have access to a working laptop. This writing prompt was from August 4th and went as follows:

Can you describe the pain of loneliness? What does it sound like? What does it look like?

Loneliness and I are old friends. We go way back. Loneliness is hollow and dark. It feels like a tunnel growing longer and smaller as each minute passes. There are no sounds except that of my breath and beating heart. The emptiness of the space makes you feel hollow inside. You feel yourself disappearing further and further into the darkness, away from reality. Growing smaller and smaller the darkness engulfs you, squeezing the life from your body.
