Continue this story: "It was never supposed to be this way...."

It was never supposed to be this way. I was never supposed to fall for you but I did and now I find myself slowly withering away. You have begun to take over me. I'm slipping into the darkness, my soul slowly fading away. I fear I can't pull myself out. I can't count on you to help me so I'm afraid the battle is all but lost. Deep down I think I enjoy the darkness thrust upon me as it pushes me further from you. Further into my own madness. Further into loneliness. A state I've become quite content with.
