This writing prompt was the most challenging one thus far. It forced me to have to focus on the words I was using and attempt to tell a story with only single syllable words. This is what I came up with:
The last time I saw him it was dark. His eyes dull and with no life left in them. How I wish I could see them light up once more. Now he lies in a cold, dark grave. He left that day and had no idea what it had in store for him. As he walked down the street so did she. He went left, she went left. She fired. He fell to the ground dead. She took one last look at him and left. The red pool of blood was the only once of color in that alley. The dark sky hid the rest.
Give this writing prompt a go and let me know what you come up with.
